The Policy Research Associate at Washington Analysis executes on a unique combination of policy-based research responsibilities geared toward our investor clients. They provide project-specific and on-going sector research support to senior analysts on our research team, including our healthcare, energy, telemedia and technology, financial services, tax and trade verticals.
Responsibilities:
- Provide research and analytical support to senior policy analysts working across a spectrum of issues, including energy, healthcare, financial services (among others)
- Work with analysts to conceptualize, pitch, and develop client-facing research projects
- Track legislative and regulatory developments in support of senior research analysts
- Cultivate a network of third-party subject matter experts
- Attend in-person and/or virtual policy events, including congressional hearings and regulatory events
Skills and Experience:
- 2 years of work experience in policy or finance
- A demonstrated interest in policy and financial markets
- Advanced interpersonal qualities with strong writing and oral communication skills
- Creative, self-motivated, and independent
- Agile, with an ability to shift focus and reprioritize
- Excellent time-management and organizational abilities
- Bachelor’s degree required
