Summary

CFRA conducts extensive research on more than 1,600 equities worldwide, utilizing our unique and independent STARS research methodology. This approach is designed to deliver long-term outperformance and distinguishable idea generation. Our research process involves a top-down analysis of the economy and market strategy to determine the outlook for eleven primary sectors and 125 sub-industries.

Our company-specific analysis is a collaborative effort that draws upon all of our research capabilities, including forensic accounting research and diagnostic scores, Lowry's technical power rankings, and regulatory and legal risk views on the sectors of our Washington Analysis research teams.

Head of Equity Research
Paul Beland, who holds a CFA designation, is currently serving as the Head of Equity Research at CFRA. Before joining CFRA in 2017, he worked as a sell-side equity research analyst for over ten years with Citigroup and Lazard Capital Markets in New York City. During his tenure, he covered various sectors, including Accounting and Valuation, Education Services, and Media. He completed his Bachelor of Arts in Economics with honors and distinction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Additionally, he is a CFA charterholder.
