Lowry Mid-Week Commentary Week of August 23, 2023

Michael Kahn, CMT, Senior Market Analyst
23 August 2023

Summary

The longer-term indicators of Lowry show resilience in the face of recent market fluctuations. While the S&P 500 has experienced a 4.3% decline since reaching its peak on July 31st, the overall upward trend since October 2022 remains intact. Although this dip may seem like an opportunity to buy low, Lowry's indicators suggest that there may still be further pullback in the short term. While there is positive evidence for the long term, caution is advised as there is not much room for error before the market's upward trajectory is threatened.
